Marching Band – Marching band season is over so its time to turn in the marching band uniforms. Wash them and bring them up to the band room during school or during after school practice. They should be turned in by Dec 17th at the latest. We are looking for some helpers to organize and store the marching season equipment. On Saturday Dec. 19th at 9:00am, meet outside the band hall. We could use parents and students. This could count towards service hours.
Letter Jackets – Our letter jacket company will be here on Thursday, Dec. 10th to allow students to try on letter jackets and place orders. I have attached the order form and some examples of optional patches. The basic jacket with letter is $65 and to add the little name on the front is $17. Everything else goes up from there. Earning the Official Lamar Band Letterman Patch – Earning a varsity letter is a long tradition in American schools. Qualifications differ from organization to organization. To me it represents a student who puts in superior effort to make the team/organization better. With our pandemic affected school year, I have adjusted the qualifications and points for earning a letter. I am also offering the chance to earn that letter before the end of the first semester. Students must fill out this form to see if they can earn enough points to receive the letter. DUE Wednesday Dec. 9 at 9:15am!
